Nissan has come up with something very appreciable innovation to celebrate releasing of the Gran Turismo Sport on 18th October. The company has transformed the Nissan GT-R into the biggest remote control car, which can be controlled using DualShock 4 controller to make the GT-R /C.
The huge RC car has been remotely driven by a British professional racing driver and GT Academy winner, Jann Mardenborough around the Silverstone race track. Since, the company has closed its partnership last year with the Gran Turismo series. Many of the Nissan cars including GT-R are considering as a part of games, while the automaker also has used those series as a tool for recruiting the drivers for factory race via the company’s program, i.e. GTAcademy.
Jann Mardenborough said in his statement that, “The GT-R /C has brought my two worlds together – the virtual of gaming and the reality of motorsport – in a way I never thought possible.”
But, this time Nissan appointed a virtual driver that will be turned into a racer of the real world. The Nissan GT-R is generally referred as ‘the PlayStation sports car’, because of the fact that when before the first Gran Turismo video game was released in 1998, more of the world of English speakers was unaware of the halo car of Nissan.
The superhuman in-game performance of the car has made it a desired object to monitor the enthusiasts across the world. Still, it would not be so until next several years after which Nissan introduced the car and availed them in the European as well as American markets and this is how the mental connection has become permanent between the Gran Turismo and GT-R.
