President of the United States, Donald Trump has recently delivered a set of hard-line principles to Congress for immigration policy on late Sunday. This list of principles is now threatening to break the deal that allows the undocumented thousands of young immigrants to remain as residences legally in the country.
As according to the document, that has been distributed to the Congress and procured by The Washington Post, this wish list also contains funds for the wall across the U.S.-Mexico border, which crackdowns the influx of curbs and Central American minors, on the federal grants towards “sanctuary cities”.
The list has actually been released for the demands in exchange of a previous deal for protecting those young immigrants, who are undocumented residents, called as “Dreamers”, in order to endanger the emergent bipartisan shove to approach the judicial solution.
President Trump will continue to insist on constructing the wall along the southern border and hiring of the ten thousands immigration agents with the tougher laws for seeking asylum as well as federal grants denial. This will take place once before accepting the agreement for providing the legal status to 800,000 of those undocumented young immigrants, who had been brought illegally in the country as children.
Charles E. Schumer, Senate Minority Leader and Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader, both stated in their joint statement that, “The administration can’t be serious about compromise or helping the Dreamers if they begin with a list that is anathema to the Dreamers, to the immigrant community and to the vast majority of Americans. We told the President at our meeting that we were open to reasonable border security measures … but this list goes so far beyond what is reasonable. This proposal fails to represent any attempt at compromise.”
