Pizza becomes healthier breakfast than cereals… a piece of the most common, late night favorite and traditional food is actually a better choice that a bowl of the most of cereals, according to the statement disclosed by Chelsey Amer, a registered dietitian to The Daily Meal, a food website.
Amer said that, “You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories. However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning. Plus, a slice of pizza contains more fats and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash.”
Obviously, there are a lot of things have to be taken in to the consideration, such as various types of pizza and cereals. Even being full of grease, pizza also consists of less amount of sugar as compared to most of other cereals, while that little sugar is just for serving the hunger levels and moods of people.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a breakfast cereal brand seems more likely to reach the standard classification made by Amer as the sugary cereal that contains 9 grams of sugar, 3 grams of fat and 130 calories, says General Mills.
Consumer Reports has conducted an independent research to explore how much amount of cereals is ate by people, in which it found most of the people don’t use to stick with only single serving.
